Mayn Aid delivers essential health services and supplies to pregnant mothers and newborns in undeserved communities across Uganda. Our goal is simple: ensure safe deliveries, healthy mothers and thriving children.
Every mother deserves a safe delivery. Every baby deserves a healthy start.
Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR)
Uganda’s maternal mortality rate remains one of the highest globally
Uganda’s Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is 343 deaths per 100,000 live births-far above the global average. Most of these deaths are preventable with access to skilled care during pregnancy, delivery and after birth.
At Mayn Aid, we reduce maternal mortality in rural Uganda by providing pregnant women and new borns with the recommended level of maternal healthcare , trained midwives and essential supplies.
Our Plan
To reach every mother and newborn who needs care, we are working to;
- Build a standard maternity maternity Hospital where mothers and babies can access quality healthcare.
- Set up newborn units to give babies the best start in life.
- Equip clinics with maternity beds, baby cots, medical supplies and cold storage for medicines
- Open outreach clinics in rural areas with no access to healthcare.
- Building a home and schools for the vulnerable children and orphans.

When women deliver in challenging conditions, infection is a leading cause of maternal mortality. Our Emergency Birth kits provide the essential supplies needed for a safe, clean delivery.
Each kit contains:
- Soap
- A sterile plastic sheet
- A sterile razor blade
- A blanket
- An umbilical cord tie
- Latex gloves
